I have decided that I no longer want to shop at Countdown Silverdale as I rarely seem to be able to find a friendly staff member. On more than 3 or 4 occasions I purchased Deli food and the service from the lady over the counter is atrocious. Almost to the point that it seems it's too much hard work for her to serve me. Today I was met on the checkout by Reubena and she too seemed like her job was too hard. She made an error with the amount of cash i requested and when I informed me that she had given me too much money, she argued about the amount and did not aplogise. Customer service seems to lack from these two ladies and if I were the Manager I would not have them in my store.

your meat section is revolting, meat is fatty, all different thicknesss in a pack, not well presented like the albany shops. A lot of new people to millwater are still going back to albany for the groceries because of the poor qualtity supplied and presented in the silverdale branch. Nicer cuts will go a long way to mantaning business and new customers, but at this rate countdown is pretty poor.

I have been shopping in Albany for many years and have been happy with new world pak n save and countdown brownsbay. My complaint is the meat section at countdown silverdale is revolting., looks like the meat has been hacked with a clever, fatty all different thickness pieces in a pack. Spoken to a few people and they agree. If nicer pieces are presented you will find that people will start buying more. As most people swho are new to the area are still going back to albany for quality not quantity. Thanks for listening, this might improve your sales.

Always shop at countdown on church corner but for the 3 weeks have been disappointed in the freshness of the vegetables and fruit, Last week it was a rotten onion and then this week my marderine was rooted out of 6pieces of fruit 3 Were bad and had to be thrown out, not good enough.

I handed over a scratchy card that wasnt scratched to be checked. The man told me it wouldbe courtesy to scratch it. At first i thought he was meaning the actualcard but he saidno the barcode! I have never scratched a barcode before handing over a ticket. He said again when its busy (2 people behind me) it would be coutesy to do that. So i took my winnings ($20) and said i will go elsewhere tobuy my tickets.....to someone who is not too busy to serve me.

Went to buy a lotto ticket this afternoon and completely ignored by 4 greenlane countdown staff who were doing nothing but gossip. Waited for over 1 minute bfore being half heartedly acknowledged but still not served!!!!! Worst customer service snd have noticed its only getting worse.

On my last visit I bought a very expensive tub of Hagendasz ice cream and when I got home 2 mins later and opened it, it was melted. I took a photo and kept the receipt. When I asked for it to be replaced The manager on duty refused saying itās not store policy. This is the 3rd time itās happened and not only did the manager on duty refuse to replace the item, she was also rather rude about it. Not only that, here were at least 4 items on my list which were out of stock. Unfortunately my nearest other supermarket is 30mins drive away so I have to do my shopping here otherwise I would never enter that store and definitely not recommend it.

Could not believe the number of people in the supmkt no lines at check out asked operator she didn't have a clue asked supervisor no clue was like a normal day absolutely not good enough others people question after i said something a line was formed not good enough
