The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto. The total prize is made up of $4 million from Powerball First Division and $1 million from Lotto First Division.
This is the third time this month that Powerball First Division has been won by a MyLotto player and the second time in a row that Powerball has been struck.
Tonightās win follows on from Saturday when a MyLotto player from Auckland won $6.3 million, just one week after a young man from Central Otago scooped $22.3 million. Ā
